Russia 228

A third of the prisoners in Russia right now are serving sentences for drug-related crimes, which amounts to around 136,000 people. Most of these are drug users or simple dealers, not darknet drug lords. The maximum sentence under Article 228 of the Criminal Code is the same as for murder — 20 years.

The new Rip Rap collection is released in support of the Andrey Rylkov Foundation. The Foundation is advocating for a humane drug policy in Russia, based on tolerance, health protection, and human rights. Anja Sarang, the president of the Andrey Rylkov Foundation, has a master’s degree in Drug Policy and Medical Anthropology.

We want to stimulate the growth of monthly regular donations to the Foundation. Therefore, to get a 10% discount on the new collection, make a regular donation of at least 100 rubles to the Andrey Rylkov Foundation on the Nuzhna Pomosh foundation website.

The collection was developed in collaboration with the artist 9cyka. The artist 9cyka creates artworks imbued with sharp social satire and reflections on the topic of the police state.
